4D terrain model
LiDAR and photogrammetry models from drone surveys form the basis. Sensors, channels, protective structures and infrastructure are precisely located.
GeoSenseAI® platform
Sensor data, terrain model, satellite data and drone surveys in one view: GeoSenseAI® shows in your web browser what is happening in catchments, on rock faces and slopes – spatially in 3D and over time as a 4D history.
GeoSenseAI® combines GMD®’s own sensors with geodata into a shared situational picture. Emergency staff, specialist departments and operators see the same information – each in the view they need for their task.
LiDAR and photogrammetry models from drone surveys form the basis. Sensors, channels, protective structures and infrastructure are precisely located.
Water level, precipitation, vibration, tilt and movement: every sensor shows its status and time series directly at its location.
We define thresholds and warning levels together with you. Exceedances are visible immediately and trigger defined notifications.
Events can be rewound and replayed, revealing relationships – for example between precipitation and water level, as analysed at the Carrerabach.
Surveys document conditions before and after an event and add a current image of the terrain to the readings.
Copernicus services such as Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 and hazard zones can be shown as additional layers.
A seamless process from high-altitude sensor technology to alerting and documentation.
Energy-autonomous edge IoT sensors capture readings across the entire catchment – even without power or mobile coverage.
The AI in GeoSenseAI® evaluates several parameters together, detects anomalies and relates them to weather and geodata.
When defined thresholds are exceeded, the platform notifies automatically via app, SMS or email.
GeoSenseAI® Verify launches a sensor-triggered drone survey from an autonomous dock and delivers an up-to-date situational picture.
In trial operationTime series, warnings and surveys remain traceably stored – as a basis for debriefing, reporting and planning.
Tailored situational awareness for various stakeholders in risk management.
A shared situational picture for mayors, fire brigades and command staff – with traceable decision support for closures and evacuations.
Monitoring of catchments and rock faces along transport routes and facilities, with alerts to operations control.
Measurement data and event documentation as a basis for risk assessment and claims handling.
Status information for hiking trails and ski areas, complemented by energy-autonomous people counting.
Reference · Graubünden
Together with the Rhaetian Railway and the Office for Forests and Natural Hazards of Graubünden, GMD® monitors a catchment of around 14 km², energy-autonomously and year-round. GeoSenseAI® brings the readings together and reveals trends between precipitation and water level.

No. GeoSenseAI® runs in the web browser on PC, tablet and smartphone.
Time is added as a fourth dimension to the three spatial dimensions of the terrain model: readings and events can be replayed and compared over any period.
Readings from GMD® sensors, terrain models from drone surveys, Copernicus satellite data and hazard zones. Additional data sources are agreed per project.
As a rental model together with sensors, installation and maintenance – without a large upfront investment.
We will show you GeoSenseAI® on a real catchment and discuss which sensors make sense for your site.
